A little motivation for you…
A year ago I hit 600 subs after 2 years of work. Not the fastest, not the slowest.
Here I am a year later with well over double that and I hit 2000 towards the end of November. I’m projected to hit 10k this year and you have so many idiots that comment saying “i will make your videos get 10x the views, sign up to this”.
Want the honest truth about YouTube?
YouTube is not something you can cheat. You have your own TV show!! If you post about a game, then stick to just that game for a little. If you were watching a James Bond film but the sequal was about a man who quits being a spy and takes up knitting, who would watch that?! Probably nobody.
Good thumbnails, simple, bold, catchy thumbnails. Same with titles too! but make them searchable…
One of my biggest videos is “I‘m SELLING My Sony A7Siii FOR THIS?!” - the A7siii was the keyword, everything else was the clickbait.
Post consistently, atleast once a week if you do full length videos. And shorts, i‘m no expect with them. But you could make a short 3 times a week at least.
YouTube doesn’t make you rich, last month I got almost 50,000 views in my long form content and got paid less than when I got 30,000 views. But what you can do is enjoy it, build a community and then create other revenue streams like an online store. I now teach creators every day to make their business more successful, especially when it comes to weddings.
It’s never too late to start the YouTube game, make content your audience wants to see, make it exciting, relevant and don’t waste their time telling them something they don’t want to see.
