In a move that has shocked the football establishment to their very core, even more so than his suggestion of an All-Star Game, Chelsea chairman and co-owner Todd Boehly has earlier sacked all the Chelsea players and had given manager Graham Potter the opportunity to draft a brand new team of replacements in his own image at the beginning of his ride as Chelsea coach (You just select which specific attributes you want on a scale of 0-20 and hit search, right?) but what has happened since then as been from frying pan to fire.
Potter has won just two of his last eight games in charge, which has left Chelsea tenth in the Premier League, nineteen points adrift of the top. And it is a run of form that has seen the Blues match an unwanted record that has stood for more than seven years.
The defeat at Newcastle was Chelsea's third successive defeat in the Premier League. This is the first time they've lost three top-flight games in a row since November 2015, during Jose Mourinho's final season as Blues boss.
Potter has now become the first Chelsea manager to match that record since Mourinho's time in charge. The Englishman has seen his side hammered at Brighton, narrowly lose to Arsenal and fall to defeat at Newcastle.
The defeat in the North East also means that Chelsea still have not beaten any of the teams currently in the top seven of the table. The pressure is now mounting on Potter to turn his side's fortunes around, something he is confident he can do.

Injuries? incompetent coach? disillusioned players? As far as what that actually means, the report doesn’t really reveal anything too outrageous, certainly nothing on the level that its narrative would explain a nose-diving team for now.
