Armed bandits reportedly attacked a group of rangers with Kainji Lake National Park in New Bussa, Niger State, killing one.
Details of the incident are still sketchy, however, it was gathered that the attack occurred along Kemanji Oli Camp axis of Kainji Lake National Park, New Bussa, on Monday.According to report, only five rangers managed to escape during the attack while 12 were declared missing including one identified as Tanko Tiger.
The body of Tanko Tiger was later found few hours after the attack. One Ishaq Abubakar, confirmed the killing of the park ranger.
"Innalilillahi wainnailaihi rajiuu it is very sad to announce to you the assassination of my intimate Friend popularly known As ( TANKO TIGER ) a National park Staff, he use to be hardworking, obedient, respectful, very religious, tested and trusted before his dead. Targeted and killed by Fulani terrorist group," he wrote.
"The same set up Fulani's terrorist that kill his friend JIBRIN in the month of October last year 2020 kill him today, nothing was done in order to retaliate. Sheikh JA'AFAR MAHMUD ADAM and SHEIKH MUHAMMAD AWAL ALBANI were also killed, nothing was done as proactive measure to bring the killers to bulk.
"Nigerians where are we heading to with these kind of situation, when our life's, religion and properties are not longer safe and if we continue to remain silence all of us will be killed the way they are killing Aminals. It is high time for safe protection and commitment in prayers. May Almighty Allah accept his short comings, give them internal rest and make jannatul Firdausi as their final destination.
