President Muhammadu Buhari has reacted as Bishop Wale Oke becomes the new president of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN).
The cleric is the founder of Sword of the Spirit Ministries.
A statement obtained signed by presidential spokesman, Femi Adesina, on Thursday said Buhari congratulates the entire body of Christ for the emergence of Wale Oke.
The President also hailed the outgoing PFN President, Dr. Felix Omobude, for his continuous stewardship, intercessions in prayers for the nation and willingness to give wise counsels to leaders.
Buhari commended all participants at the meeting of the National Advisory Council of the organisation held at the Grace Cathedral, Enugu for electing the renowned preacher.
He urged the new leadership of PFN, all Christian leaders and the Church to continue upholding the country in prayers for peace and prosperity.
